Sculptured shadows
The beauty me this stone carving was enhanced by the play of light.
Cat walks heel
The neighbour cat, Tigga, often visits my house. He followed me to Odessa's house down the road. He is the only cat I know that behaves like a dog.
Another lizard
This one was disturbed when I visited the storeroom. It is nice to see a growing variety of reptiles in my garden.
Jumping spider
This little spider on a file in the office looks ready to jump onto my cellphone.
Frog posing
This frog lives by the pond but always jumps into the water when I approach. This time I moved slowly. Taken with flash and high digital zoom.
Wind downs wasps
I am not very fond of wasps, because they are inclined to sting with little provocation. So when this nest fell, leaving several wasps homeless, I thought it was rather funny.
Raising the tone
First proper tuning in 24 years.
Silent notes
It gets worse before it gets better.
Things to note
The mechanism of this G.Schwechten grand piano is going for a service.
Foosball migration
Stephen and Odessa take it away.
Curtain gone
Now we have vertical blinds.
Debugging
I found this strange little insect which measures just 4mm long while picking granadillas in the garden. I had trouble photographing this constantly moving object!
New blinds
Computer built to last - the future is the past!
At home
This litte lizard had already lost its tail once before. I took it far away from the cats. Here it is on a log.
After upgrade
The new blinds are on order. See the 'before' picture in the January 2008 archive.(Here is a link)
Tinting the windows
Ultra-violet rays are harmful.
Neighbour cat admires new floor
Young frog
He must still remember his tadpole days.
