Unusual spider

This shiny critter emerged from under the bark of a log. At first glance I thought it was a wood cockroach but then i saw that it had eight legs. The body shape is like that of a scorpion. Can anyone identify her? (I assume that it is female because she was with a very much smaller companion.)
